Today’s hottest child stars are coming together for a project sure to set their fans a-swayin’, shakin’, jumpin’ and stompin’.
“Goin’ Bulilit” stars Sharlene San Pedro (”Princess Sarah”), Nash Aguas and Basty Alcanses together with Aaron; Jairus Aquino (”Kung Fu Kids”) and child actor Makisig Morales ( “Super Inggo”; “Caregiver”) will join forces but not for any acting or singing gig.
Instead, the child stars will be moving and grooving to “Jump Around: Kids Dance Album”, a project by ABS-CBN’s music outfit Star Records.
The dance album, which puts together a collection of dance tunes especially for kids, will include the carrier single “Jump Around” as well as like “Let’s Dance and Shake it,” “Rain Rain Go Away,” “Moose Dance” and “Kokoboom.”
“The Jump Around” album also contains minus-one tracks.
The child stars will tour for campus tours and mall shows. Catch them on July 19 , Thursday at SM Marilao; June 21 , Saturday at SM North EDSA; July 27 at SM Fairview and August 2 at SM Dasmariñas.
“Jump Around: Kids Dance Album” is available in all leading record bars nationwide.

Teen singing sensation Charice has launched her self-titled debut album on ABS-CBN’s weekly variety show “ASAP 08″ on Sunday.
“Masayang masaya po ako kasi po na-launch na po iyong album ko at ire-release na po siya,” Charice told abs-cbnNEWS.com
“Special itong album ako kasi first album ko. Solo ko ito, pinaghandaan ko po ito. Lahat ng mga songs covers po siya pero iniba namin iyong version para hindi magsawa ang tao.”
The singer said her first single “It Can Only Get Better” is a song dedicated for the youth. The song tells teens to hold on to their dreams and believe that there’s always hope.
Charice’s CD features six songs, including the hits he sang on her TV guestings on the Ellen deGeneres Show, Paul O’Grady Show and Oprah. She said two of the songs were composed by producers from Sweden .
Charice’s album is produced and distributed by ABS-CBN’s music outfit Star Records.
Oprah guesting
Charice said she is eagerly awaiting the local airing of the “World’s Smartest Kids” episode of Oprah where she performed the Whitney Houston ballad “I Have Nothing.”
“Sa May 12 po, siyempre excited po ako kasi gusto ko ng mapanood iyong sarili, she said. She said she has yet to receive confirmation that host Oprah Winfrey is inviting her to come back on the show for another guesting.
Charice says she may miss the local airing of the World’s Smartest Kids episode since she will be flying to Hawaii as a guest on a special episode of ABS-CBN popular noontime show “Wowowee.”
abs-cbnNEWS.com first broke the story of Charice’s guesting on the Oprah Winfrey show three weeks ago.
Charice will be celebrating her 16th birthday abroad and will be busy doing out of the country shows.

Alicia Keys’ As I Am registered the second worst sales tally for a #1 album since SoundScan began monitoring album sales in 1991. Keys’ album sold 60,519 copies last week, just 455 more copies than the all-time bottom-dweller, the Dreamgirls soundtrack, which sold 60,064 copies in its second week on top one year ago.
Keys’ album has sold 2,786,000 copies in just 10 weeks, a tremendous total by any measure. So it’s a little unfair that her name will be dragged through the mud as this news is disseminated. But that’s show biz.

LOS ANGELES - Christina Aguilera has given birth to a boy, the pop singer announced on her Web site Sunday.
“Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman,” the brief messaage said. “He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy.”
The baby was born Saturday night and weighs 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Aguilera, 27, was “resting and doing well,” according to the message on her Web site, www.christinaaguilera.com.
Aguilera said that Saturday was “a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I.”
There was no immediate response Sunday to several calls seeking additional comment from Aguilera’s representatives.
Aguilera and Bratman married in 2005. The four-time Grammy Award winning singer has said she learned she was pregnant during her recent “Back to Basics” tour.

Four paparazzi have been arrested for reckless driving while chasing Britney Spears’ car in the San Fernando Valley.
Los Angeles police Lt. Mario Munoz said officers observed several cars following a white Mercedes-Benz around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mission Hills.
The cars were following Spears’ car too closely and traveling at unsafe speed. They also made several unsafe lane changes, authorities said.
Munoz said officers stopped the Mercedes, interviewed Spears and released the 26-year-old pop star after verifying her driver’s license.
But the four photographers in the cars chasing her were booked for investigation of reckless driving.
